Pacific Micromarketing’s purpose is to work with our clients to increase the return on their consumer marketing investment through the collection, analysis and supply of data about Australian consumers.

Our business involves both holding data about Australian consumers and managing our clients’ customer data. We recognise that total regard for the privacy and protection of consumer data, and the reduction of unwanted communication is in our company’s, our clients’ and our industry’s interest.

Pacific Micromarketing is fully compliant with the Australian Direct Marketing Association’s Code of Practice and the Australian National Privacy Principles. Equally, we require all suppliers and clients to comply.

Pacific Micromarketing’s consumer data is sourced from either:

  • Public data sources available to all Australians e.g. the telephone directory. We recognise that as public data, consumers may expect its use for a variety of relevant purposes.
  • Other data sources, where the consumer has been informed of the intent to use this data e.g. the Australian Shoppers Survey.

Any data supplied to Pacific Micromarketing, by clients is either:

  • Destroyed; or
  • Returned to the client

within three months of completion of any work done, unless the client agrees otherwise. All clients must destroy data within a pre-determined period of agreed use.

Data supplied by clients is confidential and is used in strict accordance with their instructions. We are committed to our data being complete, accurate and up to date. Pacific Micromarketing operates a secure IT environment with password protection and operational control. Our premises are electronically secured and all employees sign confidentiality agreements as a condition of employment. We have a separate Security Policy.

We recognise that consumers have full rights to be told what information we hold about them and have any information we may hold on them removed at their request. Pacific Micromarketing hosts and uses both the Australian Direct Marketing Association and our own Mail and Telephone Preference Lists for consumers who wish to be excluded from any unsolicited mail or telephone calls.

Successful direct marketing is personal, anticipated and relevant to consumers. This is in the interests of both our clients and those consumers and this principle underpins our Privacy Policy.

Your Privacy
Your Privacy is a website dedicated to consumers who want to control the use of their personal information. This information can be used to influence the mail you receive, emails and SMS messages you get and phone calls you receive at your home.

Your name is unique and important to you. We understand that your name, and how is it used, needs to remain in your control. Your Privacy helps give you this control.

For example, you may enjoy receiving offers of relevant products or services via direct mail, but may not enjoy receiving messages in other media. This website allows you to choose the media through which organisations may contact you with these kinds of offers. Your decision to opt out of such media will then be made available to marketers so that they know not to contact you in a manner you do not want. Click here to go to Your Privacy and to opt out.
